2024 | AIGA Flux Student Design Competition: Finalist, Identity Category
The rebranding of the American Heart Association aimed to display protection and security while still aligning with the non-profit’s key values and goals. The logo draws inspiration from the lifesaving mission of the organization, combining two key elements: wings and a heart. The wings, influenced by the caduceus—a widely recognized symbol in the medical field—are paired with a heart shape to represent protection and security. This design symbolizes hope for the future in the fight against cardiovascular diseases. The modern and sleek aesthetic of the logo is carried throughout the entire brand concept, reinforcing the non-profit’s core mission.
